"My head turned with everyone else as the bride and her father entered the room. My eyes began to tear as I saw that she is as beautiful in the dress as her mother was, only a few years ago it seems. Then I remembered what a mess the dress was when sheepishly the then new bride handed it to me the morning after that wedding.Thankfully Kite's made it as good as new and it has stayed that way all these years. I'm glad I always remember , Take it To Kite's."
You’ve dreamed of wearing your grandmother’s wedding gown since you first saw how beautiful she looked in her wedding portrait. They just don’t make wedding gowns like that anymore. Now that your wedding date is scheduled at the chapel, you dig through your mother’s closet to find that gorgeous dress. Alas, when you pull it out, you see it’s completely yellowed from age.
Kite’s specializes in restoring antique or vintage bridal gowns to the true color without damage to delicate fabrics or dyes. We can remove stains and discoloration that ordinary cleaners cannot.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Carl at your Alta Mere store. My daughter wanted to wear my wedding dress for her wedding in April 2012. 27 years ago, my mother Heirloomed my wedding dress, however, the cleaners did not clean it well enough and when we unpacked the dress, there were terrible caramelized sugar stains on several places on the dress. My daughter and I both started to cry as we thought there would be no way for her to wear this dress. Let me also say that this was a $10,000 dress, bought at Francines of Dallas, 27 years ago. I did my homework and decided to take the dress to Kites Cleaners, since I heard they were the best at wedding dress restoration. Well, let me tell you, that was the best decision I have ever made. I could not be more pleased with Kite's Cleaners on Alta Mere in Fort Worth for the job they did restoring my wedding dress. It was not just my wedding dress but an heriloom...it was also my great grandmother's wedding dress from 1905 made of fragile silk which had yellowed over time. The restoration technician, Carl Bear, used a special chemical to bring the dress back to its original color. He then steamed it and displayed it on a form in the Wedding Gown Room. It was a thrill to see this special 106 year old gown in such beautiful form! I have to admit I was very nervous about entrusting this gown to anyone. The staff at Kite's was very caring and hlepful in my journey in this process. The dress is now boxed in acid free tissue. I can take it out and view it with special gloves anytime. I am so thankful to have been able preserve this special treasure for a long time. -belladiva
